Scottsdale is the posh and luxurious suburb of Phoenix often considered the Beverly Hills of the Desert.   It is also a premiere tourist destination attracting visitors from around the world.   The OldTown/Downtown Scottdale Civic Center and Fashion Square area of Scottsdale is noted for its western cowboy era 'flair' -- although Scottsdale art galleries in this western motif are second only to New York City.  Scottsdale is home to more than 125 art galleries and home to the famed Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art.  Restaurants, bars and nightclubs make Scottsdale one of the highest concentrations of nightlife in the country.   Scottdale Fashion Square Mall is one of the ten largest malls in the nation.   Car enthusiasts from around the world come to shop at exclusive car dealerships such as Maybach, Spyker, Panoz, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Saleen and Maserati.   Nearby is the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, Ritz Carlton, and the Biltmore Fashion Park, which also includes many high-end tenants and highly acclaimed eateries.  Scottsdale is a golfers paradise offering more than 330 days of sunshine.  It is home to the annual Phoenix Open Golf Tournament held at the Tournament Players Club.  Movies and television are filmed in Scottsdale's fashionable Shea Corridor.  With its great number of exquisite eateries, 5-star hotels and resorts, luxury golf courses, high-end boutiques, and famed night-life, Scottsdale contributes millions of dollars to the economy of Greater Phoenix.
